How to Use the Bra Size Calculator

All women long to wear a bra that is comfortable, beautiful, and at the same time gives us an image of round, voluminous, and lifted breasts.

Despite the efforts of designers and experts in women's lingerie, many of us have difficulty buying the ideal bra. It often happens that they leave marks or rub against us, causing skin irritation.

The time has come for you to learn how to match the band size with the cup size. You just need to use this tool and in a few seconds, you will know what the perfect bra size for you is.

To use it, simply enter the data requested in the forms: the circumference (perimeter) of the chest and that of the breast or bust. Further down, you will find detailed instructions with images on how to take the measurement better.

Once you have entered both values, click on “Calculate” and the calculator will return the size that best suits your needs in a quick, automated, and totally free manner.

How to Calculate Bra Size and Cup

Most lingerie brands have the duty to offer an ideal solution to their buyers, which is the most comfortable bra possible, differentiating for this purpose between different sizes.

Choosing the correct cup stylizes the shape of the breast and, therefore, some parameters must be taken into account to choose the correct one.

The circumference of the chest will help us know the band number, while the circumference of the bust will indicate the bra cup, which is expressed with one or several letters.

Now we are going to explain how you should take the measurements.

Chest Circumference

You should place the tape measure below your breasts.

If they are somewhat large and due to gravity tend to fall, making it difficult for you to find the exact point where to place the tape, do not worry: you just have to locate in the center of your chest the end of the sternum which is the bone where the ribs meet and right there take the measurement.

The tape should be snug but not tight (nor should you loosen it).

It must remain still at the time of reading the centimeters.

Chest circumference

Bust Circumference

In this case, your reference point will be the most voluminous part of your breasts.

Surround your breasts with the tape measure at the height of the nipples, making sure that the tape draws a circumference without tightening, nor loosening or moving.

Bust perimeter

How to Convert Bra Sizes

If you have noticed, the calculator has provided you with several values with a number and a letter. These correspond to the bra size in various measurement systems, such as the French (or Spanish), European, UK, or USA, among others.

You should pay close attention to the label on the bra at the time of purchase, as they may be indicated in a sizing that is not from your region.

This numerical difference between one system and another is due to the fact that European sizes are measured in cm while the English and American tables are measured in inches. There are other particularities such as in Italy and the Czech Republic or Australia and New Zealand, although these are in disuse.

The transition from one size to another occurs every 5 cm in the European/Spanish and every 2 inches for the English/American. Furthermore, the cup size in the UK/USA system is obtained from the difference in inches by subtracting the bust circumference minus the obtained size, if the difference is 0 it is AA cup if it is 1 inch A, 2 inches B, and so on.

To make it clearer, below I attach the conversion tables, both for the band and for the cup.
